Special Event ops
Campaign board, Prize tracking, Save to workspace, Manage Published, and day-of Setup / Run.
Open Community HQ → Events & leagues → Special events (`/host/manage/main-events/management`). Special Event weekends are workspaces — not the same as a single subscription Event listing.
Two host surfaces
- Campaign board — build and edit workspaces, including unpublished weekends. Status says Unpublished (or workspace), not draft.
- Manage Published Special Events — day-of ops for weekends that are live: registrants, Entries, door tools, and links into each published sub-event.
Workspace actions
- How it works — Learn guide for Special Events.
- Event details — edit weekend name, dates, location, and registration settings.
- Prize tracking — optional weekend points race (presets, per-sub-event overrides, leaderboard, manual awards).
- Announce Special Event — promo images and Discord + social posts when the weekend is ready to promote.
Sub-event setup: Save to workspace
When you add or edit a sub-event under a Special Event workspace, the green finish action is Save to workspace — not Publish event. That saves the listing and tournament setup back into the weekend so you can keep building. Announce Special Event (and Manage Published tools) are how you promote and run the live weekend; individual sub-events still open Setup → Run when they are ready for the floor.
Prize tracking
Open Prize tracking from the Special Event workspace actions. Turn tracking on, start from a preset or build your own place table, optionally override points per sub-event, and review the weekend leaderboard. Standings finishes can feed points automatically; you can also add manual awards. This is host tooling for the weekend — it does not replace Entries or seat capacity.
Entries
Players register once for the Special Event weekend and receive a ticket allowance (Entries). They spend Entries to reserve sub-events. Entry registrations sync onto the run listing for published sub-events so your door roster matches what players booked.
Day-of for each sub-event
- Published sub-events open with the standard Setup flow, then Run (Event Run hub) — the same pairing and check-in tools as a normal event.
- Use Venue second display and Streamer overlay from the Run hub when you need a store TV or OBS link.
Where players browse
Published weekends appear on Special Events browse (/events/special-events), not in Featured on Find Events. See Special Events browse for player-facing paths.
